MEET THE TEAM
Matt has a vast amount of experience in educational facility design at both the K12 and university levels. A registered architect in both Michigan and Colorado, Matt received his masters degree in architecture from the University of Colorado. Matt’s passion for architectural design flourished during his years in Colorado and convinced him that educational facility planning and design was where he would concentrate his talent. His expertise in building design is complemented by his highly developed skills in space planning and graphic design. Matt has also been awarded the AIA Grand Rapids and AIA National Young Architect of the Year.
As the firm’s Director of K-12 Education, John brings a wealth of experience in meeting the needs of both students and educators. He oversees the planning and bond application process for K-12 school districts and works to see that communication, consensus building, and collaborative efforts occur throughout all project development phases. In addition, his expertise in controlling project budgets and delivering unique educational environments is unmatched.
Throughout his professional experience, John has been involved in all project design and implementation aspects for various building types. These include K-12 and higher education, office buildings, and manufacturing facilities.

Shawn is a visionary designer with extensive design experience with K-12 education clients. As a Campaign Specialist, Aricka partners with school districts to guide the development of clear, effective communication throughout the bond campaign process. Her background in graphic design, writing, public relations, and advertising allows her to craft compelling materials that inform, engage, and build trust among stakeholders. Aricka collaborates with each district to create transparent, accessible, and impactful communications that support a successful bond campaign and strengthen community confidence in the school's future.
